Free Motion Quilting for the Terrified with Stuart Hillard Sunday 21st October 2018
Sunday 21st October 2018
Hurrah! The lovely and inspiring patchwork and quilting tutor Stuart Hillard is returning to Needle & Thread I can't tell you what a fabulous time we all have in the studio on his visits, non stop laughter and stitching even a spontanteous quilting therapy session on his last trip! All interspersed with tea and cakes and lots of sewing hints and tips! Perfect!
As an experienced Free Machine Quilter and Teacher with over 20 years experience Stuart knows the fear that strikes many quilter's hearts when they think of free machine quilting, but it doesn't have to be that way!
Free Machine Quilting (FMQ ) is fun, flexible and liberating and the principles are easy to pick up - really!!
Spend the morning learning the basics of set up, simple patterns and designs for sashing, borders and blocks. Get your confidence boosted and then spend the afternoon working through some great "all-over" designs and leave ready to get those quilt tops finished! You will be working on pre-prepared quilt sandwiches (provided) which you can take away at the end of the course as a permanent record of your progress!
All your materials and equipment are included! We also spoil you with a delicious lunch, and serve you with copious amounts of Tea, coffee and Homemade delicious cake to keep you going! (all included).
Limited places so do book early!
